The outcome of the NOVA VIDA™is based on Sirolimus Drug and fully biodegradable polymers coating. It has drug Sirolimus, which has dual mechanism of action, regulates inflammatory cell function, blocks smooth muscle cell proliferation.

Therapeutic Agent-Sirolimus:

•	A cytostatic drug that has potent immunosuppressive and antiproliferative properties.

•	Inhibits expression of key cytokines necessary for the smooth muscle cell proliferation from the G1 to the S phase of the cell cycle.

•	As a part of a DES system, Sirolimus targets the very cause of ISR, proliferating vascular smooth muscle cells, arresting their proliferation.

Drug Carrier-Biodegradable Polymers:

•	Coating of fully biodegradable polymeric blend used for controlled delivery of drug in to the adjacent tissue.

•	The polymeric chains are breakdown into monomers and enter into Crab’s cycle and finally converted into CO2 and H2O which are excreted through urine.
